Armistice Day

To mark Remembrance Day students from Fulham Cross Girls’ School were joined by representatives of Fulham College Boys’ School and the Fulham Enterprise studio to take part in a Poppy Wreath laying ceremony at the Fulham cemetery.

This year the procession was led by Siciida Muse 7M who was the winner of the Remembrance Poem competition and who had the honour of placing the wreath on the war memorial.

Noon Ahmed, Deputy head girl read an extract from “For the fallen” by Robert Laurence Binyon and at precisely 11 0’clock the group fell silent for two minutes to reflect and pay their respects.

Lest we forget.

Remember Remember!

Those solders risked their lives

Some died, some survived.

Remember, remember …

Mothers said to their daughters,

Don’t cry, don’t be sad,

They will come back alive.

But sometimes this was a lie.

Remember, remember…

Remembrance Day

On the 11th month, of the 11th day,

The 11th hour it is time to remember.

Remember, remember…
