Home School Agreement Letter

Fulham Cross Girls’ School seeks to EMPOWER the young women of tomorrow.  Part of becoming empowered is taking responsibility for our own actions and owning our own behaviour.  The home / school contract describes the responsibilities each of us has to ensure each student at Fulham Cross School has the opportunity to achieve her full potential.

 

  • We will provide learning experiences which meet the needs of each individual pupil

  • I will work hard to make the most of the opportunities offered to me at Fulham Cross School

  • I will have respect for the school environment, buildings and equipment

  • I/We will encourage my/our daughter/ward to read widely

  • We will monitor and assess individual pupils and feedback to parents each term

  • I will bring credit to myself, my family and the school in the way I conduct myself on the way to and from school

  • I/We will attend parents’ meetings at the school

  • We will communicate effectively with parents/guardians

  • I will keep my planner up-to-date as a way of communicating between home and school and to help organise my learning

  • I/We will celebrate all aspects of my/our daughter’s/ward’s achievement

  • We will establish a culture of positive behaviour and support this culture with appropriate rewards

  • I will follow the school’s code of conduct, Behaviour Management policy and Anti-bullying policy at all times

  • I/We will support the school’s policies and uphold the values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs

  • We will listen with respect to the views of all members of the school community

  • I will be a positive member of the school community, my tutor group and my year group

  • I/We will inform the school if I/we have any concerns

     

  • We will insist that full school uniform is enforced fairly and equally to all individuals

  • I will attend school in full school uniform and be punctual for school and lessons

  • I/We will ensure that my/our daughter/ward attends school regularly, on time and wearing the correct uniform as outlined by the school

  • I/We will avoid her absence from school wherever possible and provide notes to explain any absences from school

     

  • We will inform you of lateness and absence on the day via our automated First Day Calling system

  • I will make sure I arrive at school on time and attend school every day (Minimum of 96.5%)

  • If I am late I will report to the school office immediately

  • I/We will respond to the message service and inform the school of reason for absence/lateness

  • I/We will keep the school informed of change of address and telephone numbers

  • I/We will not take my/our daughter/ward out of school for holidays during term time

  • I/We will ensure that my/our daughter/ward attends all educational visits and experiences throughout the school year

  • We will confiscate junk food that is brought into school

  • We will confiscate mobile phones/headphones if they are visible in school (As outlined in the school’s guidance)

  • We ban any use of social networking sites in school and monitor student usage of the internet on the premises

  • I agree that I will not bring junk food into school

  • I agree that I will not use my mobile phone/headphones in school (As outlined in the school’s guidance)

  • I agree that I will not engage in malicious activity on social media sites and will report concerns that I have immediately

  • I/We will support the school’s policy on not bringing junk food into school

  • I/We will ensure that my/our daughter/ward is clear about the rules on mobile phone/headphones in school

  • I/We will check my/our daughter is not using the internet inappropriately in her social time and will monitor her use of social media
