Year 10 Work Experience

Year 10.JPG

On the 3rd December our Year 10 students commenced their two weeks’ work experience.

We had girls attend work experience at various schools across West London, including:

·         Fulham Primary School

·         Sir John Lillie Primary School

·         Melcombe Primary School

·         St Gabriel’s Primary School

·         Normand Croft Primary School

·         Evergreen Primary School

·         Alec Reed Academy

·         Thomas’s Academy

·         Christ Church Primary School

·         Avonmore Primary School

·         Date Valley School Trust

·         Jack Tiazard School

·         Notting Hill Prep School

·         St Barnabas and St Philips CofE Primary School

·         St John’s Walham Green Primary

The girls behaved exemplary, and Ms Boon from Fulham Primary School, who took nine of our students, said: “The girls have been absolutely delightful. They have all pitched in and have bene such a help to the class teachers. Quite a few of them stayed later on Wednesday to help out at our Christmas Fair, which was lovely. They’ve all written us a lovely card today, brought in some baking and gave us flowers – which is so sweet and very unexpected. They have been a credit to your school.”

We also had many students attend other companies within West London, including:

·         Shepherd’s Bush Families Project

·         Currys

Again, the girls excelled themselves, and we received the following feedback from Douglas who works at Currys. He called the school in front of our work experience student to tell us that is the BEST student that they have ever had. He mentioned that she was super sharp, mega polite and had a phenomenal ability to problem solver – she has been offered a job for when she is 16!

We are so proud of how our girls conducted themselves and we hope that the skills they learnt during their two weeks they can transfer in later life.
