On Friday 12th May, Year 8 went took a trip to London Zoo to explore the animals living in different climates around the world. After a long ride on the underground, students arrived at London Zoo and headed off to different locations. Particular highlights were the penguins which we could see swimming through the glass fronted pool, Sumatran tigers who are an endangered species and the giraffes who were hiding inside from the rain. Many students also enjoyed the weird and wonderful creatures in the BUGS centre; we saw ants making their own habitats by carrying leaves across ropes and some faced their fears by going into a room full of giant spiders! It was a long and tiring day after walking around 12 kilometres (!) but it was enjoyed by all.
