The Careers Department offers EMPOWER Breakfast Talks on Tuesdays throughout the year. Initially they were offered to Year 10 and 11 girls but now are open to all students in any year. The latest two talks have been fascinating very well attended.
On 13 June Dr Paul Winter came to talk to us about his careers as a neuroscientist. Dr Winter told us about his education in South Africa during apartheid and how his family was deported. He talked about his career developing new medicines in a range of therapeutic areas. He also talked about the teenage brain. There was standing room only.
